nak carik keje baru sbb at that moment, (back at 2008) company tempat aku keje tu bisnes nyer ada unsur-unsur yang aku tak sanggup nak recall let alone nak share with others.
but that's not the story. citernyer bila aku amik cuti one day ni untuk pegi interview kat Jaring. position yg aku apply masa tu, kalau tak silap, network engineer ke IT engineer ke gitu lah lebih kurang. tapi bila aku sampai je kat Jaring, aku rasa ada 2 org je yg dipanggil (kira depa dah shortlisted kan calon2 la). aku, dan sorang lelaki ni. segak. bawak briefcase. aha! macam nak lawan bos. ahah! aku jahat!!
budak tu orang 1st masuk interview. then after 20min kot dia keluar. senyum. pandang aku senyum lagi. good-luck-to-you kinda smile.
aku pun masuklah. ada la 3 orang panel lelaki. yg sorang tu macam chinese look. sorang tu boss look. haha. nampak gaya pun bleh tau itu bos.
dan interview bermula dgn sesi suai kenal la kan. intro skit2. diikuti dengan sesi soal-jawab.
En F: tell me what is the latest technology.
Aku : as in network?
En F: anything.
Aku : .... (sungguh aku tak tau. aduyaii..)
En F: how about the latest handphone?
Aku : .... (pun aku tak tau. sbb aku rasa time tu semua org pakai nokia. tapi model apa sungguh la ku taktau)
En F: (muka dah berkerut) u dont know? ok. iphone.
Aku : iPhone??
En F: yes. why? dont tell me u never heard any single thing about iPhone.
Aku : no no. thats not what i mean. only that i dont think iPhone is the latest technology in msia.
En F: and why is that? (dia dah macam terkejut)
Aku : because my sister been using that iPhone for quite sometime. that technology is lapuk already. i think la..
En F: ... (dia plak diam) okay then. fair enough.

overall, the interview was okay i guess. dia ada tanya this and that, explaining about the new technology that Jaring plan to develop in the near future and they ask about my opinion and if i ever heard about the new technology that will be implemented. haha. latest pun aku failed, inikan plak future technology.
future technology that they planned to implement: ftth (Fiber-To-The-Home)
has it been implemented back then? yes. in msia? nope.
after the interview session ended, En F asked me 1 thing.
"oh ya, what position did u applied for?"
haaaaa?? dah abis interview baru tanya?
"network engineer"
"ic.. im actually conducting interview for R&D IT position. would u consider this position if we were to offer u the job?"
haila haila.. "to be honest, computer network is my only passion. at least for the time being," aku menolak. dgn cara paling berhemah la kut aku rasa.
to my horror, 2-3 days later, En F call me to ask me when can i start? wow! i must be good then! (perasan kejap)
unfortunately, my previous majikan didnt let me go. not unless i pay them the penalty for breaching the 1yr contract!
to En F, thanks for the offer. would love to work with your team if i have another chance.
