Kelahiran - Hospital Birth [Part 2]

Assalamualaikum,

Sambungan dari Part 1.

"Puan ada rasa sakit tak?" the doctor ask.

"Tak.,"
"Tapi dah 6cm ni," said the doctor.

"Kita monitor baby's heartbeat dulu ye," came the nurse.

"Puan, heartbeat baby tak cantik la puan. Kita tukar mesin yang satu lagi ye. Jom, tukar ke katil sebelah,"

Dengan berat punggung hati, aku pun bertukar ke katil sebelah. Nurse pasang balik semula the CTG devices on me.

"Ish.. heartbeat tak cantik ni. Puan, cuba duduk elok-elok. Jangan senget-senget badan," nurse tu kata lagi.

Ok.

No problem.

Duduk je elok-elok.
But seriously, masa tu pinging dah kebas plus nak baring pun tak bole sangat. Bukan sakit pun. Tapi tak selesa.

Then came the doctor. Senior lady doctor - I guess.

Because the previous doctor that checked on me was briefing my case to her.

Again, this senior doctor perform VE on me.

Ok, tak sakit. Serious tak tipu.
The trick is, relax. Don't think too much about the pain.

The senior doctor almost shout to the junior doctor and nurses.

"Dah 6cm ni, kenapa tak tolak ke labour room?"

Ok. I terkejut.

"Tapi heartbeat baby tak cantik," the nurse say to her defence.

"6cm ni kan? Terus tolak labour room la. Kang beranak kat sini pulak," sambung doktor tersebut.

So off we go.

They push my bed onto the lift.

Tercengang jugaklah because my husband was outside waiting for me.

On the labour room floor

"Sakit! Sakit!"
"Sakitnya Ya Allah! Sakit!"

Ok. Itu bukan suara aku. Hoho.

Itu suara patient yang dalam bilik bersalin.
Boleh dengar sampai kat luar.

Serious takut. Nak mintak epidural. Aku dah set dalam kepala, nak epidural. Tak pedulik.

Sampai labour room, nurse bagi pakaian lain. But I get to keep my seluar bersalin on me.

It was 8-ish, probably 8.15am. I don't remember the time.

"Puan dah rasa sakit ke?"
"Puan ada makan apa-apa tak harini?"
"Puan dah sakit ke?"
"Sakit tak?"
"Ada rasa macam nak buang air besar tak?"

Ok tu semua soalan berulang dari staff Hospital Ampang.
Aku cuma geleng kepala je. Sebab tak rasa sakit. In fact, aku tak tau masa bila nak kata sakit. Sebab memang tak sakit.

Then came another Indian lady doctor.
Again, VE was perform and she ask me,

"Puan ada minum air zam-zam ke?" muka dia a bit worried la aku rasa.
"takde,"
"Air yang untuk percepatkan bukaan tu.. puan ada minum air tu?" she asked again. Aku rasa dia maksudkan air selusuh.

Ok. Suami aku ada bawak air selusuh. TAPI aku tak minum air tu.

She look at me in shock.
"Puan ada rasa sakit?"
Aku geleng.

She ask one more time.
"Ada rasa sakit tak?
Ok. Sakit. Bukan sebab VE. Tapi sakit nak bersalin.

Aku dah angguk kepala. Laju-laju aku angguk. Sakit. Giler. Nak. Mam.

"Puan, you're 7cm dilated. Unfortunately, I could not offer any epidural because the dilation is too fast" the doctor explain.

Haaaa??

"I want epidural" - suara aku dah kuat.

They refuse to give me epidural. Atas sebab aku dah 7cm. The the pain is just too intense.   Tapi hospital memang ada bagi gas. Kalau rasa sakit, staff suruh kita amik nafas kat gas tu. I don't feel the different pun. huhu

I look at the wall clock.
It's 8.40 am.

Allah Allah.
Sakitnya nak bersalin.
I just couldn't take it. The pain to me is unbearable.

This time, the midwife take over as the doctor has left the room. My husband is standing next to me holding my hand and comfort me at times.

"Push only when you feel like pushing,"

and at 850am here comes our 2nd baby, Atiyah, 3.34 kg.

The Stitch

I do not wish to scare my dear reader about how pain it was when it comes to stitch. I thought the pain is finally over after I birth out 3.34kg human. Sadly - No.

Here comes the scariest part (after birthing - of course).
Stitch.
Midwife says only 3 stiches required as its only 1st degree tare.
Yeeeelah tu. Sakit ya ampunnn..
It feels like the stitching process tooks forever to end.
Aku dijahit WITHOUT bius ye.

Di ulang.
WithOUT bius.

The funny part is.. aku bole cakap

"Saya tak nak jahit!"
"Kalau tak nak jahit, baik you bersalin kat rumah je," kata midwife tu.

Kuang asam betul.

But that was it. Im not going into detail about the "jahit" so let us continue and introduce my dear reader to our little girl.

Presenting our little girl.
Atiyah binti Mohamad Hafiz

Ummi, Bapak & Kakak Adhwa loves you so much.

Oh yes, did I mention that both of us (my newborn & I) has been discharged around 6pm? And we waited for my dear hubby to fetch us after 8pm.

One more thing.

We actually sign up for 2nd class room, which is 4 bedded room and RM300 is required. Upon discharged, they only charged us RM20.

I guess maybe, just maybe, because we did not spent any night at the hospital.

All in all, Alhamdulillah everything goes well, even the staff are very friendly. From the doctor, nurses and even the guards are. So much love from them.

That's all for now.
Much love from me, in the office here in Putrajaya.

Kelahiran - Hospital Birth [Part 1]

Assalamualaikum,

It's been a while since my last post. I've been trying to find some time to write my birthing experience - a hospital birth to be exact. And now, my very first day resuming to work after 2 months of maternity leave is the only time I manage to slot in.

So here goes my birthing experience:
It was the 16th Ramadan and both my husband & I are having our sahoor at 5.15 in the morning when suddenly I feel this..
"Ct rasa air ketuban lah Yang," I said casually to my dear husband who has just finish his meal. At that time, I can feel the leaking.
"OK. Sakit tak?" he asked.
"Tak pun," I replied.
"Lambat lagi kot nak beranak?" tanya suamiku lagi.
"Ye kot, time adhwa dulu pun mau 8 jam," jawabku.

Little did we know, that this baby is about to poop.
Soon.
Today.
This morning.

At 5.30 am, I went to the toilet to check if there is any bloody show - Nope, there isn't.
Tak sempat nak melangkah keluar dari toilet, gushhhh!
Oppss!

"Abid, ct rasa nak kene gi hospital la,"
"Ok, boleh solat tak? Subuh dulu la,"

Usai solat subuh, kami siapkan Adhwa. And I'm texting Adhwa's babysitter to let her know that we're going to send Adawa a bit too early today.

See the time stamp? It's 6.12 am man!

After we send Adhwa to her babysitter, we go straight away to Hospital and reached Hospital Ampang at 8am.

Go straight to the delivery zone and register myself. Nurse kat front desk tu tanya:
"Puan datang atas urusan apa?"
"Saya rasa macam dah nak bersalin," aku cakap.
"Macam mana tau nak bersalin dah?" tanya nurse lagi.
"Air ketuban dah keluar sikit-sikit,"
"Sakit tak?" nurse tanya lagi.

And the conversation went on and on because the nurse just has to verify my story before she ask me to change my cloth to hospital attire (I already put on my seluar bersalin).

Around 8.20am, doctor ask me to lay on the bed. Nak buat VE. Takut oi!

Just relax - said the doctor.
So I did.

"Puan ada sakit tak?"
"Tak pulak,"
"Tapi dah 6cm ni.." kata doktor lagi.

bersambung

Hospital / Mummy / Baby Bag

When did you pack your hospital bag?
I just did. Yesterday. At week 36.

What to prepare?
Here the checklist. Feel free to share if you want to.

For baby:
3 pasang baju
1 receiving blanket
1 bath towel
4-5 pcs of disposable diaper
baby wipes
milk bottle (in case you have to hand express your breast milk)

For mummy:
birth plan (hehe - natural birth katanya)
sarong (kain batik), palazo
tshirt
headscarf (tudung)
socks
nursing bra
extra undies
breast pad
maternity pad
toiletries (tooth brush, tooth paste, face wash)
bath towel
air selusuh

Since this is my 1st experience birthing in a hospital (my 1st born was a homebirth), please allow me to have a little bit of "panic issue". Homebirth does not require hospital bag kan? ha ha.

Enough?

Cukup la rasanya semua tu. Bukan nak berumah tangga pun kat hospital kan?
But if you plan to give birth in a private hospital, you might have to add more items in your hospital bag. Things that you might want to bring along are :
- ipod / ipad / tablet
- nursing pillow

As for me, I planned to give birth at Hospital Ampang (gov hospital) as I dont think any private hospital will take me in should my SVT episode came back. More about my SVT episode, please read here.

As far as I know, if you have SVT history, you must have a cardiologist standby during your labour / delivery. Why? Because SVT may not be life-threatening to the mother, but IT IS life-threatening to your unborn baby. Oh ya, you must inform your doctor / gynea about your medical history as well.

Happy birthing to me and all mothers in the world.
May we have an easy labour and a healthy baby as well.

Throwback : Food Poisoning anddddd.. pregnant. [Part 2]

Part 2

First night warded in hospital.

My baby sleeps with my husband.
On the floor!

I'm still in pain.
I could not stand straight.
I could not lift my baby. But I keep breastfeed her.
I have to continuously breastfeed her as that is the only way to keep milk coming.
And I still want to breastfeed her. I love the bond that we have.
The bond that God give to us. Mother & baby.

But because of this food poisoning, I can barely eat.
I have to avoid dairy food - my fav!

I woke up every 2-3 hours not because I want to breastfeed my baby, but I have to get in the toilet! Its so painful plus..

I have to drag along the IV drip bottle everywhere I go!
Giler kau! Sakit kot.

Gambar Pakcik Google

Tangan dah start membengkak. And according to Dr Tan, I need 6 bottle!
Walawehhhh..

2nd day

Terpaksa minta nurse cabut jarum kat tangan sebab tangan dah membengkak.

Ohh im still in pain!

3rd Day in Hospital

Sakit berkurang, but but but.. still sangat sakit.
I can barely stand up.
Doctor instruct the nurse untuk buat scan kat perut.
So petang tu I went for sonogram check-up. (scan baby tuu)

When the Sonographer do the scanning..
I thought...
You know, I thought I saw a sac. Baby sac!

Baby Sac
You know.. when you are pregnant, you used to see your sonographer to scan you belly, and you see the baby thru the screen. Kan?
But I just kept my mouth shut.
I mean.. takkan la aku pregnant. Aku test UPT haritu negative kot!

So I just keep my mouth shut.
Im not going to talk about that to my husband.
Maybe its just me. I see things!

4th Day in Hospital

Pagi-pagi lagi Dr Tan dah datang buat round check.

"Siti, please have a seat.. " Sebaik sahaja Dr Tan melangkah masuk.
So there I go. Have a seat on my comfy bed.

"How are you feeling today? Do you still feel the pain?" He asked.

"Much better I guess," Aku senyum.

So kami borak-borak about when I can discharged.
What to eat.
What to avoid...

and then he dropped the bomb.

"You said you're not pregnant. But the result came out positive you now.." Katanya sambil membelek2 fail di tangan.

Terdiam kejap aku. Laki aku pun kaku jap. Blur je muka.

"Anyways.. congratulations. I would like to advice you to get further check up with gynea about your pregnancy as I could not advice on that. Would you like me to get my nurse to arrange appointment with our doctor here?"

"Yes please."

"Which doctor? Do you any doctor here?

"Yes, Dr Suriati please."

"Ok Tina, please make an appointment with Dr Sue office'"

Throwback : Food Poisoning anddddd.. pregnant. [Part 1]

Assalamualaikum.

Entry ini memang untuk throwback je sebenarnya.

This happened over a year ago where I have no idea, i mean... seriously, I have NO freaking idea that I was pregnant. I've known for a while that if you're an exclusive breastfeeding mother, you have like zero chance of getting pregnant.

As long as you still and exclusively breastfeed your baby.

Well.. at least that is what I thought.

Until I spoke to a friend who is a doctor that advice me to take urine pregnancy test. And thats because I told her that I am 2 months late. My period never come late. I mean.. NEVER. Not a day or two. NEVER!

So that night I secretly did the urine test. Just to be sure. You know, since I am 2 months late, I dont have to wait early in the morning just to be sure my HCG level is bla bla bla (you will know about this thing if you are a TTC couple). So there I go. Did my urine test.

Andddd

Negative.

Phewww. Im not pregnant. OK.

NO.

Im not OK. I thought I going to be relieved by the result. Instead, I just want to get pregnant. I love baby. But Im not sure if I could handle 2 babies at a time.

Weeks pass by and I thougt Im having a food poisoning. That night after I went home, I pass Adhwa to my husband and I go straight to my room. No, im not sleepy. Im just not feeling well.

Im having a bad diarrhea. BAD BAD BAD diarehhea.
I keep going in and out of the toilet more than 5 times that night and I cried so hard. One - is because I could not handle the pain. Two - is because Adhwa still breastfeeding and she needed me.

The next day I can never stand the pain and after we sent Adhwa to her babysitter, we go straight to Pantai Hospital and look for Gastroenterology Specialist.

He goes the interview session with Dr Tan :

Dr Tan : Hi, how are you doing today?
Aku : Im having a bad diarrhea.
Dr Tan : How many times you went to toilet? When it start?
Aku : Yesterday. More than 10 times.
Dr Tan : More than 10? Are you sure?

OK. Dia terkejut. Then baru dia observe muka aku. Tengok bibir aku yang kering giler then start to write something on his file.

Sambil-sambil tu dia mintak aku bukak mulut aku untuk check weather Im having dehydration or not. He also check on my temperature - and Im not having fever.

To my horror, he asked :

"Are you pregnant?"
"I dont think so. Im breastfeed my baby, so no - I dont think Im pregnant,"

"When was the last first day of your period?" Ehhh dia tanya lagi. Kan dah aku cakap aku tak pregnant?

"That was 2 months ago. But then again, Im a breastfeeding mother"

The conversation ended. Until he ask me if Im keen to be hospitalized for further observation.
So that night aku pun bermalam di hospital Pantai.
My husband came with Adhwa. And toto. And a beg full of my clothes and Adhwa's diaper.

To be continue..

Before & After

How much weight did you gain during your pregnancy?

As for me, at week 32, I had an excessive weight.
Normal weight gain for 32 week pregnant lady should be in between 8kg - 10kg. But I gained 15.4kg instead.

And I gained approximately 20kg when I was pregnant with Adhwa. Here is the picture taken when I was 34week pregnant and been dragged by my husband EVERY weekend for a walk.

At that time, I can no longer fit into my running shoes or any other shoes.
So I opt for crocs instead. And it fits me well. Very comfy and I felt so stylish already. Haha

Yes, I had a smooth delivery, a natural birth delivery to be exact.
Oh yes. I gave birth to Adhwa when I was 37 week pregnant. :)

Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah.

Kelahiran - AMANI BIRTHING [HYPNOBIRTHING]

[This post has been updated on the 1st Apr 2014]
[Disclaimer : I am NOT promoting home-birth without any medical assistance / personel]

MasyaAllah, Alhamdulillah, Subhanallah, Allahu Akbar!

Presenting, our little bundle of joy - Adhwa Hafiya binti Mohamad Hafiz, weighed 3.3kg, who was a home-birth baby with some help from our Doula - Kak Yatt.

Adhwa Hafiya - Cahaya Yang Sangat Cantik

"Adhwa sayang, Adhwa keluar 22 Oct tau,"

Hehe.. 22-Oct-2013 adalah ulangtahun pernikahan kami yang ke-2. But.. our baby has made up her mind to come and see the world on Oct the 9th, 1224 mid-night.

Ceritanya..

Dua tiga hari sebelum kelahiran Adhwa, aku semakin kerap bangun lewat. Letih gamaknya.

Entah kenapa aku pun tak terpikir nak tanya.

Pada pagi 8 October, aku sempat lagi membalas beberapa email tapi seketika kemudian aku terus off kan semua email / gtalk connection di hand phone. Sebab? Sebab air ketuban dah pecah. Wahahaha.

Pagi 8 October tu, aku bangun agak lewat.

  • Start to time the leakage.
  • Baru gelabah nak cari blog pasal birthing technique.
  • Dok study bagai sampai lupa nak masak. Last-last call Dominos Pizza je.
  • Suami selalu whatsApp tanya perkembangan. "Adhwa aktif tak?" See? Our baby belum lahir pun lagi!
  • Suami tiba di rumah jam 4 petang.
  • Aku dah mula duduk di gym ball yang besar gabak tu - that's one of the technique. To relax and get some light exercises.
  • Pukul 6 petang surge (contraction) dah makin intense. Sakit wooo.
  • Mandi dan solat magrib. Kemudian terus naik atas katil. Sebab mengantuk, penat dan tak larat.
  • Lepas isyak, dah start nangis-nangis bila surge datang. Bila surge hilang, ngantuk balik.
  • Jam 10 malam Kak Yatt sampai.
  • Kak Yatt suruh suami bentangkan kain pelikat 2 - 3 helai atas lantai. Letak bantal 2 - 3 bijik atas lantai. (Ye, aku bersalin atas lantai, tapi bukan pada posisi baring, but I was on my knee instead)
  • Birth position : Melutut dengan beralaskan bantal. Tangan diatas katil.
  • Dalam-dalam tengah sakit tu.. suami aku menghulurkan glass of water untuk aku hirup. Aku main sedut je air tu not knowingly that was actually air selusuh.
  • Suami sangat memainkan peranan. Kejap-kejap suami aku akan urut & usap belakang aku. Kejap-kejap suami aku akan cium dahi & pipi aku.
Surge datang balik, memang aku merengek balik.
  • Pukul 10 malam surge dah semakin tak tertahan.
  • Aku banyak kali merengek kat suami aku - "Abid, ct dah tak tahan.. sakit sangat.."
  • Suami pujuk-pujuk Adhwa. "Adhwa, kesian kat ummi, meh keluar sayang, kesian ummi, ummi penat sangat dah tu.."
  • Suami pujuk aku pulak, "Adhwa dah nak keluar dah tu.. ct kuat kan? Sikit je lagi Yang,"
  • Setiap kali surge, aku akan menangis, "Allah.. sakitnya, bantulah aku Ya Allah,".."Adhwa, keluar cepat sayang, ummi dah tak larat,".. dan aku selalu ulang-ulang "Allah.. sakitnya," "Allah.. sakitnya," "Allah.. sakitnya,"
  • Jam 12.24 tengah malam, dengan izin Allah, aku selamat melahirkan bayi perempuan, Adhwa Hafiya. 10 minit kemudian, i birth-out the placenta and my husband get to do the honor to cut & clamp the cord, seterusnya mengazankan & mentahnik Adhwa.

Few minutes after she was born, we have skin-to-skin contact before I handed Adhwa to her father for azan and to cut the cord & clamp it later on.

 Proud daddy!

UPT

 Urine Pregnancy Test (UPT) Kit.

The thought came when I was 6 days late for my normal period. I however don't even mention that to my husband. But, i did spread the news to my Jimbangans friend.

One of them asked me to do UPT.
Two of them (the married one) asked me to give some time - another week, just to be sure.
One of them asked me to get to the doctor - skip the UPT.

So that day im using different route to drive back home. Purposely, yes. So that i can get the cheapest UPT stick. I went to Watson and ask the sales girl where should i go. Then she showed me the counter - whoaaa... too many UPT to choose from. As mentioned earlier, yep, i choose the cheapest one so that i do not waste any money if the result is -ve.

I did informed to my dear husband that day that I bought the UPT stick but not going to pee on it just yet. Maybe another 2 or 3 days - I lied. I just couldn't sleep that night. I was so nervous yet i want it to be +ve. I have this kinda feeling - not knowing what is wrong with me.

I don't know how, I was suddenly awake by 4am. Damnnn it. How la you can woke up this early azura oii..

So bathroom i went. Then i realize i left the UPT stick in my bedroom. So I went back to my bedroom tiptoed just to make sure i did not wake my husband up.. but I guess.. the sound of the plastic and me being pencuri-at-our-own-place DID wake him up a bit. But he continue to sleep anyways.

So out i go. Read the manual - what are things need to bring along while peeing on the stick:
1. Timer
2. Cup (provided)
3. UPT stick

So i was like.. where do i get the timer? Oh silly me, your handphone has timer, you idiot! Tiptoe again to my room to take the handphone. Re-read the instruction again and again (so I wont waste the UPT stick).

1. Pee on the cup provided.
2. Stick the UPT stick in the cup - refer to your timer. Make sure it is not more than 3 seconds. (Whatt? 3 second also need timer ar?) Gila saiko la this UPT.
3. Wait for the pink line to appear. Single line means -ve, while double line means +ve.
4. After 3 seconds, throw away the stick as it is no longer can be used.

So i stick it in the cup. Waited 3 seconds. Ohhhh this time it felt like hours! very the drama queen la you!

And i can see the double line CLEARLY.

How to read the result (in the manual) it stated that :

1. Positive (two lines) - This indicates that you are pregnant.
2. Negative (one line) - This indicates that no pregnancy has been detected.

And i was like.... (Letak tangan kat mulut yang ternganga besar..mata macam nak terkeluar, tangan shaking giler.. even the UPT stick to pun shaking je aku tengok)

And aku terus snap the result.. dan terus whatsApp-ing to my big sister yang that time was in India. And also to my Jimbangans friend. Then only aku buang the stick in the dustbin and hurried back to my dear husband who is practically still sleeping. And I was like.. goyang-goyangkan badan dia.. slowly.. and he woke up. And "Abid.. ct pregnant," aku cakap camtu. Tanpa perasaan okey! Aku rasa blur giler that time. Suami aku terkebil-kebil pandang aku "Okey," that sambung tido balik. Ok, fine.

Then kami sambung tidur dan tak lama lepas tu he wake me up for subuh prayer. Pastu aku nampak dia macam selongkar dustbin.

"Kenapa tak kejut abid masa check ni tadi?" He asked after he found the UPT stick with the instruction manual in the dustbin.
"Hm.. ct takut negative. Kesian pulak kejut abid tapi -ve.." Aku jawab slow-slow.
"Ni line doube ni maksud dia apa?" He asked again while reading the manual.
"Double line means +ve pregnant," Aku jawab.
"Okey, malam ni lepas balik kerja kita gi scan kat klinik k?" Cadang si suami.

After that kami solat subuh berjemaah dan lepas solat, my dear husband kiss me on my forehead and i can hear him saying "Alhamdulillah,"

Subhanallah, Alhamdulillah..

Cerita Basi & SVT

Cerita ini telah basi.

Alhamdulillah.. selepas beratus pertanyaan dan beribu jawapan.. haha
I'm pregnant.
Alhamdulillah. Am currently at week 22.

Pre-pregnancy weight : 46 kilos
Current weight gain : 7.9 kilos (which is excessive - according to my pregnancy apps)
EDD (estimated due date) : According to Dr Nani, based on my first day of my last period, it should be Oct the 29th 2013.
And according to my Gynea, Dr Norlida at Hospital Al Islam, based on my baby's measurement, baby might come out early, which is 24th Oct.

Oh ya.. did I mentioned that I can already feel the karate kicks? Oh ya.. Encik suami eksaited. Tapi bila si ayah meletakkan tangan di perut emaknya, the baby's won't move. Good girl! Si ayah cakap, "Dia takut kat bapak dia tu.. sebab tu tak nak gerak," heh. Ayat sedih. Tapi tak lama.. Sebab ayah dia dah ada trick baru. Pagi-pagi lepas bangun je ayah letak tangan kat perut si emak, dan si anak tak dapat detect tu tangan sapa.. kot. haha

Dah ada baby bump kah? Of course la kan.. at week 22 or 5 months pregnancy, whaddoyaexpect? Ada la.. Semput la sikit. Ok tipu. Semput banyak. Rumah tingkat tiga kan. Naik turun tangga tiap hari kan. Bertarung sampai nak bersalin esok naik turun tangga.

Terlalu laju. "Kita jumpa doktor," katanya.

Dalam perjalanan, aku dok pikir.. nak cakap apa kat doktor? Jantung saya laju lah doktor. Isk isk..

Aku pandang suami aku. Nak cakap apa ni? Takut nanti dikata mengada-ngada.
"Dia punya degup jantung, laju doktor. Nak tau normal ke perlu rawatan ke," suami aku tolong jawab. Aku sengeh je sambil angguk kepala.
Dr Nani senyum sambil mintak aku hulurkan tangan. Nak periksa nadi sambil perhati jam tangannya sendiri. Aku perasan riak muka Dr Nani berubah.

"Macam tu.. HUKM lah doktor. Dekat sikit," cadangku.
"HUKM saya tak recommend, tapi kalau awak nak ke sana, saya takde masalah. Hospital Ampang selalunya cepat bertindak," gitu pulak.

Selepas tu Dr Nani terus menulis atas kertas - referral letter untuk mana-mana hospital yang aku nak pergi. Sambil sebelah tangan dia masih memeriksa nadi aku. Serious aku cakap, tulisan doktor, memang doktor saja yang faham. Aku cuma boleh tangkap angka je. Lain-lain terms kerut-kerut dahi pun belum tentu boleh baca.

Di Hospital Ampang.. kami sampai jam 8.30 malam. Agak lewat sebenarnya. Sebab lepas jumpa Dr Nani, kami balik solat magrib dulu.

Main pass-pass ye kamu? Aku nyer jantung nih!

Sudahnya seorang MA yang aku kira senior, suruh aku berbaring. Dia baca sepintas lalu referral letter sambil mintak aku menunggu dia panggil MA wanita. Kene buat ECG katanya. ECG kalau ikut wiki : is a way to measure and diagnose abnormal rhythms of the heart,[2] particularly abnormal rhythms caused by damage to the conductive tissue that carries electrical signals, or abnormal rhythms caused by electrolyte imbalances

Wayar-wayar ni disambung ke badan aku. Dari sihat.. terus rasa macam tenat. Fuhhh penangan hospital.

This is how the ECG device look like. Ada banyak jenis. This is 1 of many that has been used by them.

Lepas buat ECG.. that took around 15minutes.. keluarla that pink-color-graf tu as seen above. Serious aku tak reti baca graf. The moment MA tu baca graf tu.. dia cakap, "Puan, duduk kat wheelchair tu ye, abang boleh tolak kalau nak," katanya. "Abang" merujuk kepada suami aku ye. Kira dia offer suami aku tolak wheelchair tu so suami aku boleh teman aku kat dalam wad tu nanti.

"Tolak ke mana?" tanya suami.
"Zon Merah," jawab MA tersebut. Zon merah = zon kritikal.

Tolak punya tolak.. sampai la ke wad yang aku kira agak luas.. tapi panas. Takde air cond okay. Hospital ni beroperasi menggunakan kipas. Peluh aku. Dah la tak dan nak balik mandi.

So seorang doktor lelaki muda berbangsa India, my first impression, aku agak dia bukan doktor pelatih, sebab MA tadi terus terus bagi graf tadi kat dia. Ada yang "What should you do if you cant feel the pulse.. Nothing happen after the first shock.." memang seriau la kan.. Serious aku takut sangat.

Kemudian..

Give her the oxygen..drip, we need to monitor her pulse. This is way too fast.."katanya sambil membaca lagi graf.
"Are you pregnant?" tanya doktor muda tersebut, sekadar minta kepastian.
"Yes," jawabku.
"How many weeks?" soalnya lagi.
"Twenty-one" jawabku sepatah-sepatah.

I noticed there are two intern from MSU (aku tengok lencana pada uniform mereka) yang turut berada di dalam ruang tersebut. Sambil Doktor India tersebut memberi penjelasan lanjut.

"She is pregnant, we can't simply give her any medication. First thing to do is, to stabilize her pulse," katanya.

Aku buat test tu macam diarahkan..

Ujian pertama.. "..hold your breath, five, four, three, two, one...it's not working.." katanya sambil melihat graf pada monitor nadi.
Tak berjaya - pulse masih tinggi.

Ujian kedua.. ".. okay miss, bear with me.. hold your breath, five, four, three, two, one..Yes! Back to normal!"
Pulse back to normal. Subahanallah, Alhamdulillah.

Just to make sure nothing happen since I can't feel the baby movement. Check dan check... Shes in a good condition. Alhamdulillah. Alhamdulillah..

Tak lama kemudian, masuk doktor lain pulak. Nurse kat situ cakap, "tu specialist," kata misi tu.

Panjangla cerita kat hospital ni.. letih nak taip.

  • Doktor kata aku stress sangat. Aku kata tak. Kerja aku haritu sangat rilex.
  • Doktor kata aku consume caffeine banyak sangat. Aku kata tak. Aku bukan peminum tegar kopi/teh.
  • Doktor kata aku thyroid. Aku tak boleh kata tak, tapi aku tak jugak. haha.
Jadi, doktor suruh nurse masukkan air garam sebotol dalam badan aku. Giler ah.. mengalir gak air mata aku. Pedih woo.. Mujur suami aku dibagi masuk teman aku. Sejam gak nak abiskan air garam sebotol tu. setitik setitik masuk badan..

Nurse tadi datang balik..
"Pukul 1230 malam japgi baru naik wad ye, sekarang katil penuh.." katanya.
"Kene masuk wad jugak ke? Dah normal kan? Boleh balik kot.." aku dengan petah berkata-kata.
"Eh tak boleh.. doktor kene pantau lagi.. nak tau apa punca.. jadi kene masuk wad untuk observe.." terang misi tu.

1230 malam..
Aku ditolak naik ke tingkat 11. Bukan diberi bilik, tapi wad biasa. Supaya mudah untuk nurse pantau. Lagi pulak, mesin pulse tu ada je kat sebelah aku. In case pulse naik balik, memang memekak la mesin tu..
Nurse bagi persalinan hospital, warna hijau. Dia tanya,
"Boleh tukar sendiri ke?"
"Boleh boleh.." aku yakinkan dia. Insyaallah aku boleh berdiri. Cuma perlu tanggalkan wayar-wayar berselirat kat badan aku je perlu bantuan dia.

"Suami boleh ikut zura salin baju, bilik air kat hujung tu je..tak pe.. Suami boleh ikut.. malam-malam ni patient semua dah tidur, Takde sapa nak masuk bilik air.."
gila ramah nurse ni. Siap panggil aku "zura" lagik. haa

Jadi suami aku ikut la aku.. merebeh gila baju tu.. XXL baju, kain aku rasa XXXXL. Takde getah. Takde tali. huhu.. Suami aku ajar aku pakai kain tu ala-ala pakai kain pelikat. hoho.

Dah siap salin baju, aku amik wudhuk, dibantu suami..
Solat atas katil.

Masuk pulak sorang Jaga wanita bangsa India.. "Lelaki tak boleh tidur sini ye," katanya pada suamiku.
Ahh sudah.. aku memang nak nangis dah masa tu..
"Okay, saya tunggu Doktor dulu.. Kejap lagi saya balik," suamiku kata. Jaga tu pun jalan gi tempat lain.
"Nak balik ke?" aku pandang suami.
"Balik la.. ct tak nak gosok gigi ke? Nanti esok pagi-pagi abid bawak baju ct, berus gigi ct, selipar ct..ok?" pujuk suami. Aku diam.

Jam 1.40 pagi.. baru suami aku balik. Oh sedihnya.. Aku pesan, dah sampai rumah, jangan lupa whatsApp.. dan jam 2 pagi suami aku selamat sampai rumah..

Lepas suami selamat sampai rumah baru aku boleh lelap mata.. Itu pun tak lama sebab..

Jam 3.30 pagi.. akak nurse tadi kejut aku..
"Zura.. meh ikut akak,"Aku pun bangunlah.. mamai-mamai tu ikut dia.. Mata pun tak boleh nak bukak besar.
"Gi mana kak?"
"Duduk sini je.. doktor kat depan tu tengah buat x-ray kat sorang patient tu.. Zura pregnant, akak pun pregnant.. orang pregnant tak boleh kene sinar x-ray, boleh harm baby," terangnya..

Oh..doktor ni pun satu.. takde masa lain ke nak buat xray? isk iskk

Jam 6.00 pagi.
"Kak.. bangun kak.." seorang nurse datang kejut aku.. Memang menyirap betul darah aku..
"6 pagi,"
"oooo.." dia gerak aku subuh ni.
"Saya nak buat ECG lagi kat akak.." jelas nurse tadi.
"Akak solat la dulu.." nurse tu give-up.

Degil. haha

Jam 7 pagi aku terjaga semula. Makan sarapan yang dihidang. Tak sedap, i tell you.

Aku tanya misi, "Kak, pelawat boleh masuk pukul berapa?"
"Sabtu ahad dari pukul 12tgh - 5 ptg"
Allah.. lewatnya..
Sebelum tu aku dah whatsApp kat suami aku pesan bawak roti krim sebab makanan hospital takde rasa. hoh
"Abid, waktu pelawat 9 pagi la.. Abid rest dulu ye,"

10 minit lepas tu suami ku sampai..
"Aik?? Dia bagi abid masuk?" Aku terkejut.. plus eksaited sebab suami aku bawak roti krim berbungkus-bungkus, dan air susu dutch lady berkotak-kotak.
"Berani dia tak bagi abid masuk.." hehe

Dan.. ini gambar yang suami aku snap curik-curik masa aku merungut makanan tak sedap. Wayar semua dah ditanggalkan. Oksigen pun sama. Tinggal menatang alah kat lengan aku tu je. Pedih woo.. Nurse kata.. "kalau doktor confirm bagi discharge baru kita bukak yang tu.. sekarang ni biar je dulu.."

Jam 4 petang.
Kami balik. Syukur Alhamdulillah.

Rindu katil rumah.
